Epilepsy Ireland's 3rd annual Peaks Challenge will take place on July 4th 2020. This annual challenge is a really great way to get active and support a great cause in the process.
The Challenge spans over 2 days and involves hiking 4 peaks over a 36 hour period. The peaks that will be climbed this year are; Tonelagee, Lugnaquilla, Luggala & the Blackstairs; however please note that these could change depending on the weather on the day because after all, this is Ireland and sleet, snow & gale force winds can't be ruled out entirely at the beginning of July.
Epilepsy Ireland has once again partnered with Northwest Adventure Tours for the challenge who will provide expert guides and ensure the safety of all particpants. Their enthusiasm for hiking and the outdoors in general is infectious so if you're an inexperienced hiker, do not fret, you are in very capable hands.
To take part in the weekend participants are expected to raise €575. This covers the cost of transport, food, accommodation etc.
Final payment of funds is not required until 2 months before the event however an initial deposit of €50 is required to secure your place; this can be purchased here. There's loads of time to train, hit your fundraising goal and last but not least, conquer the Peaks.
Once you pay the deposit, our fundraising team will give you help & advice on raising the rest of the funds and post you a fundraising pack to help you hit the goal of €575.
If you are interested and would like to have a chat about the Peaks before committing to taking part, please don't hesitate to get in contact with Luke Meany on 014557500 or email@example.com.
